FIRST QATAR INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CONGRESS ON MAY 26

The First Qatar International Medical Congress (QIMC) featuring a conference and exhibition will kick off at Qatar National Convention Centre on May 26. The three-day event themed, ‘At the Heart of Healthcare’ will bring together professionals from medical field from all the continents.

The event will tackle a wide range of issues including among others healthcare investments in Qatar, progress and developments across medical disciplines, infrastructural setups and systems for hospitals and healthcare and safety standards.

The event is being organized jointly by the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), and supported by several companies.

The event will be a platform for researchers, experts and medical companies from all over the world and region to connect with entrepreneurs, doctors and researchers in the medical field. Besides, the latest cutting edge products, services and technologies in healthcare will be showcased at the exhibition.

Addressing a press conference to announce the event recently, which was attended by QIMC Vice President Ahmad al Mannai, the manager of the organizing company Art and Art, Rabih Karam said that more than 50 doctors from over 20 countries will deliver lectures at the conference.

“The topics include oxygen therapy, hyperbaric medical unit, medical ozone therapy and awareness programs, among others. Qatar Cancer Society will also conduct lectures,” he said.

The exhibition will have five sections including equipment, services, pharmaceuticals, government and general healthcare. International companies and innovators in the medical field will be showcasing their latest products at the exhibition,” Karam added, pointing out that health professionals will get a chance to interact with representatives of these companies at the event.
